GAvA QUARTERLY
We have just been sent the two last issues of Quarterly News magazine, published by The Guild of Aviation Artists. This is a British association of painters related to aviation which was founded in 1971, although its origins date back to 1954 when The Society of Aviation Artists was created and four years later, in 1958, the Kronfeld Aviation Art Society. Nowadays the president is the well-known artist Michael Turner.
Printed in full colour, the mag informs about different activities carried out by the association and is profusely and beautifully illustrated with paintings and drawings made using a large range of techniques. Despite most of members are British, GAvA allows affiliates from other countries. The annual exhibition will take place from 9th to 15th July 2018 in the Mall Galleries in London (UK). This year the date matches with the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.
